Welcome to our Blog!! We are truly happy to share our life, adventures, worries, wonderful precious moments and everything in between!
We have had an amazing year! We decided it would not be fair if we couldn't share all of our great stories with our family and friends!
This past year has brought many changes to the Scott family. Jeff, Conor and I made a huge decision to leave our home state of California and move to Arizona. We had been wrestling with this decision for many years and finally took the plunge. I was 4 months pregnant and very apprehensive to the move. We found a super awesome house on Craiglist.... and moved in last March. We fell in love with our new home in Chandler. We loved the community, the people, the availability of endless things to do, and being close to our family. We knew this was the place for us after we visited the mall (of course, the community in general is really what caught our attention). As some of you know I am the typical urban dwelling mall rat! I love to shop, eat out, and walk around and people watch. Conor loved the cool playarea, and the bookstore was GREAT too! Plus, it was a life saver over the summer months. And on that note, we did survive our first summer in the desert. It was HOT, but we had a great time swimming, sweating, and talking about the weather...! We also fell in love with the Zoo, and bought season passes which we definitely got our money's worth out of. Not only did we up and move to a new state, but we also welcomed a new addition to our family. Kailyn Joan (Joan - who was named after her great grandmother whom I loved and adored) was born on August 5. Labor and Delivery was easy and smooth and quick, and K (as we like to call her) is just beautiful. She is a wonderful baby and a great addition to our family. Conor who was slightly jealous in the beginning has really taken on his new role as big brother. He adores K and she adores him.
One of the main reasons we moved here to Arizona was to be close to family. With this move we have become close to Susan and Doug (the grandparents) and Allisone, Craig and Troen. It has been a blessing to be so close to our growing family. Let's not forget Carol and Mark too! We truly enjoy spending our weekends, special occasions with our AZ family. Although we miss our California friends and family very much, we have a lot to look forward to with our new life in AZ.
We will keep you updated with our happenings and look forward to sharing our life with you!

BOY O BOY!!! They are growing like weeds and both CJ and K are adorable!! Sorry we couldnt make it to Connors birthday party, I am sure it was a blast! The 3's arent so terrible they are actually kind of fun. Cameron and I just signed a lease to our very own rental home, that is actually right down the street from Doug and Susan. Cant wait to see you guys again!
Love
Jennifer, Cameron and Travis.
I crowned myself THE GREAT SCOTT as a high-school football player but was met with such ridicule and laughter that I quickly abandoned the name. The four of you richly deserve the title. Wear it proudly!
Susan and I are so glad you survived the 1-year trial all new residents to Arizona go through and have set down permanent stakes here with the purchase of your new home. The laughter and joy the grandkids have brought into our lives is priceless. Three examples: Conor arguing with his talking potty chair that he wasn't finished yet; Troen standing on the seat of his little electric ATV doing Evil Knievel stunts at 2 MPH; both boys sitting in my lap singing the lyrics to BAD TO THE BONE while we watched Monster Truck Highlights on YouTube. And soon the two little granddaughters will move from the cute baby stage into the funny kids
mode. We can hardly wait.
With Grand-daughter Jennifer and Great-Grandson Travis living nearby, there are now 4 generations
off the Scott Family tree living in Arizona. Come on over, y'all. It's great fun!
Cheers, Doug and Susan
Nice job scott's. Although I'm sad to here you are not coming back to california anytime soon. I am very glad to have friends like you in Arizona. Thanks for keeping us updated, because we are bad at keeping in touch. Lots of love to you JACK.
