It's been an amazing year for us! We just celebrated Kailyn's 1st Birthday and had a glorious time! She has grown in leaps and bounds. It's been a beautiful journey watching Kailyn grow from an infant to this lovely little 1 year old. We all just love her so much! Especially Conor. Kailyn and Conor are two peas in a pod. We couldn't have asked for two children whom love each other more. Enjoy the birthday photos!

Easter Sunday!

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We were blessed with a visit from our very good friends Jay, Jessica, Brooklyn and Payton! The kids enjoyed decorating Easter Eggs and of course hunting them. Jeff and Jay really enjoyed hiding those eggs, maybe a little too much as the kids had a interesting time finding those colorful eggs. :-)
We had a delightful Easter brunch breakfast and spent a beautiful sunny day with Doug, Susan and Troen!

Conor's 3rd Birthday!

The day has finally come! Our little Conor has finally turned 3 years old. We had a wonderful birthday party for Conor and had all of his playmate friends and their parents join us in the celebration! Conor's birthday theme was the Backyardigans and boy did he have a great time! Conor got lots of great toys and even a special visit from his best friend in California little Miss Brooklyn! The big gift of the day was his wonderful Bicycle. He loves that Bike and rides it daily, and WOW he sure is fast.

This birthday was especially hard on me. I am just heartbroken that my little baby has grown up into this sophisticated, intelligent, wacky toddler. I am mostly proud though because he is just a wonderful boy and he brightens mine and Jeff's lives.

Welcome to the Great Scotts Family of four Blog!!

Welcome to our Blog!! We are truly happy to share our life, adventures, worries, wonderful precious moments and everything in between!

We have had an amazing year! We decided it would not be fair if we couldn't share all of our great stories with our family and friends!

This past year has brought many changes to the Scott family. Jeff, Conor and I made a huge decision to leave our home state of California and move to Arizona. We had been wrestling with this decision for many years and finally took the plunge. I was 4 months pregnant and very apprehensive to the move. We found a super awesome house on Craiglist.... and moved in last March. We fell in love with our new home in Chandler. We loved the community, the people, the availability of endless things to do, and being close to our family. We knew this was the place for us after we visited the mall (of course, the community in general is really what caught our attention). As some of you know I am the typical urban dwelling mall rat! I love to shop, eat out, and walk around and people watch. Conor loved the cool playarea, and the bookstore was GREAT too! Plus, it was a life saver over the summer months. And on that note, we did survive our first summer in the desert. It was HOT, but we had a great time swimming, sweating, and talking about the weather...! We also fell in love with the Zoo, and bought season passes which we definitely got our money's worth out of. Not only did we up and move to a new state, but we also welcomed a new addition to our family. Kailyn Joan (Joan - who was named after her great grandmother whom I loved and adored) was born on August 5. Labor and Delivery was easy and smooth and quick, and K (as we like to call her) is just beautiful. She is a wonderful baby and a great addition to our family. Conor who was slightly jealous in the beginning has really taken on his new role as big brother. He adores K and she adores him.

One of the main reasons we moved here to Arizona was to be close to family. With this move we have become close to Susan and Doug (the grandparents) and Allisone, Craig and Troen. It has been a blessing to be so close to our growing family. Let's not forget Carol and Mark too! We truly enjoy spending our weekends, special occasions with our AZ family. Although we miss our California friends and family very much, we have a lot to look forward to with our new life in AZ.
